This workshop begins with a practice of kundalini yoga to awaken energy, balance the body, and still the mind. It will be followed by an extended sound meditation to bring you into deep rest and restoration. As the vibrations move through you, internal blocks are cleared, energy is balanced, and the portal opens for deep healing. In this liminal space, you are invited to connect with your inner light, let go of the baggage of the past, and plant seeds of intention for the year ahead. You will emerge rejuvenated and peaceful, ready to greet the coming year with a blissful heart.

The days around Winter Solstice are the darkest days of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This is a powerful, sacred time. It's also a turning point, and we recognize it with a special practice to honor and nurture the life force within.

This workshop begins with a practice of kundalini yoga to awaken energy, balance the body and bring the mind to stillness. Energy centers are balanced and unblocked, tension is released and deep rest occurs.

An extended gong bath will bring your body deep rest and restoration. You will emerge renewed with a sense of clarity and peace, in preparation to bloom again in the months ahead.

Join me weekly & in-person at Yoga off East for an hour of Kundalini Yoga. This class will include chanting, movement, and structured breath work. During the class, you’ll awaken the energy within while also stilling the mind. You’ll leave with a heighten your awareness of your body, a calmer your nervous system, and deeper connection with your inner abundance and bliss.

This is an invitation to replenish and nurture body, mind, and spirit through sound, movement, breath, and stillness. The result will be a deeply meditative and healing experience.

I will be co-teaching with Glenda Mackie who will guide you through a gentle restorative yoga practice while I accompany with the gong. We will unwind tension, connect with the breath, and clear pathways in the body. This will allow our bodies to more fully receive the healing vibrations of sacred sound. The session will culminate with an extended sound meditation.

This practice is open to all bodies and levels of experience, whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner. Join me!

Fall to Winter - Kundalini Yoga + Sound Healing

The practice of kundalini yoga uniquely prepares you to maximize the nourishing effects of the gong. Sound healing with the gong is a deep, meditative experience that takes you on a journey within your innermost spaces. You will emerge feeling peaceful, connected to your heart, and awakened.

Kundalini Yoga uses kriyas (postures/sequenced movement), breathing techniques, meditation and mantra to bring balance to the body, mind, and soul. Sound Meditation - 6-8pm, with yogi tea until 8:30pm

Join me for an extraordinary Sound Meditation event at my home, which will be co-taught with my personal sound meditation mentor, Marie-Claude Giroux.

For two hours, you’ll be showered with sounds and vibrations from a wide range of meditative instruments while surrounded by the sweet nature of the outdoors. Bring a mat or blanket and lay on the yoga deck, bring a chair and lounge on the patio, or find your own special spot to relax. You’ll have the freedom to setup outside in any way that you find comfortable. Is there any better way to end the week?

After the sound meditation, yogi tea will be offered allowing you to further savor the moment and transition into the weekend with ease.

About Marie-Claude:
Marie-Claude Giroux is an Artist, Sound Facilitator and Certified Wayfinder Life coach. Marie-Claude has spent over 40 years learning and studying from various Native American medicine people, elders, and shamans within the Lakota spiritual traditions their community and resourcefulness. Marie-Claude has led spiritual lodges in the Catskills for many years.

Over the last decade, Marie-Claude Giroux has integrated her experience with sound healing, art, and skilled coaching to help generate new insights and growth for her clients. By creating a safe environment where her clients can explore challenging beliefs, Marie-Claude Giroux helps her clients integrate insights and knowledge using their own innate wisdom and personal freedom.

Let the Light In

Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere, and a powerful point in time to celebrate and reflect. The abundant light present provides the opportunity for us to clearly see how our past experiences have created the beauty of who we are today. Summer Solstice is a potent time to reflect on the first half of the year, and set intentions (or recommit to existing ones) for the next 6 months.

Join me for a special workshop to honor the light inside us, and our unique journey around the sun. We'll practice yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and experience sound healing together. You’ll emerge radiant and refreshed in mind, body and spirit.

In alignment with this energy, I invite you to join me for a special  outdoor Yoga + Sound Meditation Gathering at my home. Come & begin your weekend with a balanced mind + body, peace and joy.

You are welcome to stay and hang out for half an hour after the practice. There will be yogi tea served as you savor the moment and connect in TRUE community.   

We don’t get enough opportunities to really connect in heart-focused ways.  If you’re looking to enliven your practice and commune with others in intentional ways, this unique experience may be just for you!

The practice will be offered from 9:30-11am. Yogi tea will be served afterwards until 11:30am.
